Welcome to Right Ohio

June 9, 2009 at 2:44 pm Matt

Welcome to Right Ohio, the home for Buckeye State conservatism in exile. I supposed this could be considered v2.0 of  Right Angle Blog, which was called the “most influential” right-leaning blog in Ohio by The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer.

Since Right Angle Blog hasn’t existed for more than a year and since PolitickerOH.com recently shut down, there has been an empty void in the Ohio blogosphere for hard-hitting political reporting. This site intends to fill that void.

Between serving as the campaign blogger for J. Kenneth Blackwell’s unsuccessful gubernatorial campaign in 2006 and blogging on my own, I have learned a lot about what works and doesn’t in the blogosphere. I have also gone through extensive investigative journalism training, where I learned creative new ways to expose the inherent waste and corruption of big government.

I also learned not to pick personal fights with Ohio liberal bloggers. The principles of Kirkian conservatism are superior to the warped, grievance-ridden, redistributionist mentality of modern statists, so the left is required to resort to vile personal insults and mockery. And this is hardly a new phenomenon, as the type of attacks you can see from these bloggers and media-personalities like Rachel Maddow, Jon Stewart, and Keith Olbermann are the same used by the Communist Party, as documented in Whittaker Chambers’ autobiography. With the rise of socialism on full display in America, the merits of free-market capitalism, if argued intelligently, will win the argument everyday against these childish malcontents.

This site has a number of writers on staff, and some will remain anonymous. This site isn’t particularly partisan in nature, as the cause for limited government in Ohio is far more important than party affiliation or any personality.

The site layout is a work in progress, and it hopefully helps our readers find interesting content easily.

Welcome to Right Ohio.

Outstanding, I’ve been wanting to see a blog as you’ve laid out in your post. I’ll be reading with interest.
