Steve Tigges is a partner of the Downtown law firm Zeiger, Tigges & Little and his client list reads like a who’s who of the city’s most powerful business types at Nationwide and Limited Brands. He’s also a registered lobbyist for the Dispatch Printing Company, owned by Dispatch publisher John F. Wolfe.

Wait. Isn’t influence-peddling the honest work of sloughs on the paper’s editorial board? Why would a newspaper company need a lobbyist?

They don’t, according to Mike Curtin, associate publisher emeritus of the Dispatch. He said they just employee cautious lawyers.

Read the rest here. At least this means The Dispatch is now slightly more transparent… or maybe just plain lazy… about the being just one giant, unprofitable PR/lobbying firm for Wolfe Enterprises.
